When Gwen got into hot water with her parents she appealed to her Fourth Form friends Wendy and Jinx for help.  After much thought an idea occurs to Jinx which she confesses is just better than nothing.  What she could not foresee, however,  was that this  very ordinary idea was going to lead the three girls, and many other people, into trouble mystery and all manner of strange happenings.
