Burgundy leather bound volumes with gilt lettering to spine and gilt borders to front and back boards. Text block edge is gilded to three sides. Title include: 1. Hoggarty Diamond/Ballads etc. The natural leather used in the 1880's-90's tend to dry and crumble. The leather used for these books is in very good condition for its age. The top and bottom of spines are rubbed and worn in some cases, with the gilt border missing or rubbed. The corners of the books are rounded and there is some rubbing to edges of most of the books. Some books have minor scratches to boards. Black end papers. Previous owners sticker to bottom of front paste down "Knights Library 147& 149 High Street & Bank Buildings, Church St., Ventnor IW. in 6 of these books this label has been partially removed.  Some minor foxing. Binding good a lovely set. Preowned. No ISBN.
