All spines are tanned to spine with rubbing to top and bottom. Vol. 3 Tiny portion of leather missing to top spine Vol. 4 has a small portion of leather missing to top of spine and vol. 16 a large portion of spine missing. Corners bumped and rubbed.  Board edges rubbed and front boards faded to some volumes. Residue of previous book plates on all volumes either on front paste down or FFEP. Pages yellowing to edges, some age spotting to page edges on some volumes.Bindings are tight and text complete.  Steel engravings and all volumes have a frontispiece. All have marbled end papers. Top edges are gilt. This is a 25 volume set so extra postal charges apply.
