Hardcover with original cloth covered pictorial boards. Boards are in good condition with light rubbing and bumping to the corners, wear to the extremities and dulling to the spine. Brown end papers. Presentation plaque dated 1898 to front paste down. Dedication to FFEP and name and address in ink to half title page. Illustrated b/w frontispiece, amongst numerous other illustrations. Binding slightly loose, internal guttering cracked back and front with netting showing through. Text block edges are gilded to the top and have some marks to front and base. Pages are thumbed. Publisher's advertisements to rear. A beautiful book. Preowned. No ISBN.
