Dr Williamson was a British art historian, antiquarian, and author of numerous books on European art and artists. He sometimes wrote under the pen name Rowley Cleeve.
This title has been re-written and revised - the original work was first published in 1896. The work is a study of the portrait miniaturist Richard Cosway.
