Publisher's Synopsis
Over sixty years ago A.A.Milne wrote a collection of poems for his small son Christopher Robin. From the publication in 1924 of 'When We Were Very Young' and three years later in 1927 of 'Now We Are Six' the poems quickly beacame established as nursery favourites. Since then they have been reprinted countless times.
The second book of verses about Christopher Robin, who is now a little older, and of course Pooh, who couldn't possibly be forgotten, is delightfully illustrated by Ernest H. Shepard.
Now for the first time Shepard's illustrations have been coloured by artist and author Mark Burgess, whose sensitive colouring has brought new life to these well known decorations to Milne's poems.
The result , as in 'When We Were young,' is a splendid tribute to A.A.Milne's charming poems ad Ernest H.Shepard's timeless illustrations.
