The present little book does not profess to do more than give a popular account of some of the more interesting phases of Ant Life., and its scope may be gathered from the heads of the chapters. It does not profess to be a scientific book; but a short account of some of the principal books on the subject has been added, as well as a list of the various ants mentioned, with very brief notices of their size, colour and general characteristics…… W.F.Kirby
