Ward Lock and Co. Ltd.; Undated. Hardcover with no dust cover. Blue cloth covered boards with gilt detailing and lettering to front board and spine. Spine a little dulled. Corners bumped and rubbed. Few marks to front and back boards. Top and bottom of spine is a little crushed.  Blue end papers.  Previous owners name and date to verso of FFEP. Some age spotting. Black and white frontispiece. Tissue guard coming away to top and has age spots. Two full plate b/w illustrations including frontispiece, the other between page 384-385. No list of illustrations so no way of knowing if there should be more- however it does not appear any pages have been removed. Binding a little loose in places. Pages a little thumbed. Book very slightly forward leaning.  Preowned. No ISBN.
