Macmillan and Co. London. 1899. Ninety-Eight Thousand. This is "The People's Edition". Illustrated by John Tenniel. Hardback with no dust cover. Original green cloth covered boards with red and black detail to front and back. Black lettering to spine. Boards are a little marked. Corners bumped and rubbed. The top and bottom of spine shows signs of shelf wear. Spine is sunned. End papers are tanned, small newspaper cutting has been stored between the first paste down and FFEP, this has added to the tanning. The newspaper cutting has an article regarding the death of Mrs. Alice Pleasance Hargreaves- Lewis Carroll's original Alice in Wonderland. Inscription to half title page. Some minor foxing throughout, especially to tissue guard to frontispiece. A good copy for its age. Preowned. No ISBN.
