Collins; 1955. Hardcover with unclipped dust cover. Small quarto book (approx. 10" x 8"), with pictorial boards and burgundy/brown fabric
backstrip. Corners bumped and rubbed particularly top front corner. Small crease to top front corner. Colours still bright and clean. Dust cover has minor tears and small portions missing- now protected by a "mylar" type removal cover. Also has minor foxing to verso. Some mild tanning to end papers, crease to last end paper. No previous owners marks. Some foxing to first and last few pages and text block edges. Illustrations by G.W.Backhouse, 8 full page colour plates (which are in beautiful condition) which are all present along with many b/w illustrations. 128 pp. A rare copy of this book. Preowned. No ISBN.
