John Henry Parker, Oxford; 1845. Two volumes. Part I - Text & Part Two - Plates. The Fourth edition, enlarged. Exemplified by by eleven hundred woodcuts. Brown cloth covered boards with gilt lettering to spine. Spine on both volumes show wear (crushing and rubbing) to top and bottom and is rubbed alongside external front guttering. Corners bumped and rubbed. Gilt edged pages to top of text block. Previous owners name to front paste down on both volumes. Some minor foxing throughout. Binding tight and text clean. Netting showing through internal guttering. Books have been well used. Preowned. No ISBN.
